What's that meme?
Also, Hitchhiker's guide immediately recalls the dreary, usenet/gopher/surfing the cyberspace era of the internet. Or stupid Scott Adams aphorisms in the signatures of technical dweebs in computer networking discussion formus. If that terrible movie did any good it was to make people realize how unfunny Hitchhiker is in the 21st century. So don't do it, don't quote it, don't be one of those people.

whoa now, there's some serious baby you're throwing out with that admittedly pungent bathwater, don't you think? I mean, there's a lot of misappropriation of Douglas Adam, but like Monty Python, he has moments enough to overcome the misuse.
case in point, that the answer is 42 might be completely overused and only slightly interesting as a reference by this point in its watered down history. but people forget that the question eventually turns out to be, What is 9x6. that, the whole first chapter of Hitchhiker's, and that one scene about the couch stuck in the hallway which I think Danielewski stole and turned into House of Leaves - those are good and can be relevant. but yeah sure, the rest is crap and those that quote it contemptible.

• I should have prefaced the above by saying that I grew up listening to audiotape recordings of hitchhiker over and over again, in long drives back and forth from Orange County to Miramar air base. It wasn't said out of hatred, more out of lets get over it.
• I'm sure I'll probably feel the same way in 20 years about Arrested development when the mainstream finally and utterly digests it.
• Lol I just realized I wrote Scott Adams instead of Douglas. (Really the same thing in a certain way)
• So long, and thanks for all the 5's.

Sitting in Spy for days now and I was wondering why it would take 5 minutes or more for the spy page to refresh and it's usually always the same people in the list. In the old days, you couldn't even read what someone did before it was pushed down the list so fast it would make your head spin and with more user names than a third world country's population. Then I come in here to read this snobby, over analytical, pretentious bs and realized what's really happened to the place.
