... I was preparing the database for a massive restructure, and the preparations went fine, it just took longer for the database to do everything it needed. I deleted everything in the user and site deletion queues and remade the site views archive table, which has over 450 million rows (one row per site per day with > 0) views. The latter is what took so long. It had to happen before launch and I wanted to get it out of the way.
