i wasnt saying they are an emo group in terms of them being like an emo rock group. but if you actually listen to them, a lot of there sh*t is fairly gloomy and down in the dumps poopy pants somebodys got a case of the mondays-esque. and they are pretty electronic so yeah, i generalized them as being techno emo. eat it. whoever came up with the term IDM is retarded. intelligent dance music? as opposed to stupid dance music? give me a break. and no, i do't need clarification on what makes it 'intelligent'
I didn't exactly say they were IDM, either, they are similar to it. I completely agree on the term IDM being vague and unfamiliar to some, like yourself, dbomob. But, most unintelligent people can't see why it's even classified as 'Intelligent', but of course you must be one of those people, db. I've seen M83 live, and yes, PEOPLE F*CKING DANCE TO IT.
