Once again religion has too much control over policies. We can send troops overseas to fight a war that is no more than a personal vendetta but if a 17 year old takes a picture of her self in her boy shorts it's a serious crime. I can kill a man and be out in 5 years on good behavior but if I were to rob a bank (touch the governments money) I'm facing a minimum of 20 to 30. Religion (fantasy) > morals I guess.
Also before people get on my *ss about that just because I choose not to accept any religion does not mean I'm a terrible person. DungionM, I couldn't agree more. This site had nothing to do with religion but the troubled users of ytmnd's anti-religion defense mechanisms engaged and they started bashing religion. I find it very intriguing how people do that. It bears the same exact signs as someone that is insecure about something. Also, this is not a law that is intended to target any specific person, necessarily. It's like the speed limits on California freeways: Every single car on the road at some point is speeding along with everyone next to them because the law is unreasonable, but the cops can pull people over at will and enforce their law "to save lives". Also. I don't get where you are finding that depictions such as Hentai etc will be considered covered under this. The bill covers child pornography only. The Supreme Court several years ago ruled that animations depicting underage sex were not considered child pornography and were protected expression. So not sure where anyone is getting this idea.

This bill wont do jack sh*t, it simply adds "stiffer" fines as a feel good measure to an existing law. The law is completely inneffective and useless, completely unusable and simply a means of convincing 'the masses' "hey, look voters, we're doing a great job protecting kids" even though it's all in vain.
