Libby's obstruction of justice shielded the administration. Henry Cisneros' obstruction was to save his own political skin and was during an FBI background check preceding his appointment. Also, the author of the post is rebutted in his own article: Warner Todd Huston says: Cisneros, it should be remembered, was convicted in 1995 on 18 counts of conspiracy, false statements and obstruction of justice-
The truth is Cisneros was not convicted. Cisneros pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor.
How the #@# do u commit obstruction of justice when where isn't and underlying crime? The court found no crime that Libby Obstructed from. lol
Most likely Libby will continue the appeals and get off and wouldn't have needed the pardon in the first place, but at least this way, he doesn't have to serve unjust time.
