The war in Iraq almost seems to be a direct parallel to Vietnam. When will they learn?

I hate people who try to draw parallels between Vietnam and Iraq. War sucks, sure, always has, always will. However, there are significant differences between the two. Anyway, 2'd for politics. Get rid of the politically charged description for a 3 (it's still not funny, so that's about as high as I can go).
MEO is stupid. Defending your country wouldn't be bad. (Though no poor middle-east country with 25 years old weapons would dare to attack the US) ...but Invading other countries for no reason, killing civilians and torturing prisoners is far worse. If those countries hate you already KNOW, what will the next generations think, the kids of the fathers the US troops killed? ... 5'd for the message.
