OMG, only 65 action games. If have the need to play anywhere approaching that many, you have other problems. The games that are ported are the good ones anyway. Basically, that's a complaint about not having enough poor quality games. GG.

Mac is the Anti-Christ!!!!!!

Nice use of the Tiny TIm song. This is why I stick with my PC. Despite what people say, many of the "Good ones" don't get ported. Hopefully, mac users can enjoy more with bootcamp.

Still, mac users can visit YTMND so all is well. :)

To be honest I can spot 5-10 games in there that I've played (and liked) or would consider playing.

September 9th, 2006

its obvious the list isn't just action games, The Sims isn't an action game and neither is the other one. I guess I just like this site because I have a PC at home and macs at school, and I can tell that the macs suck sh*t.

How many copies of The Sims does one platform need?

Bootcamp is for games, then youve got a nice warm OS to come back home to, a perfect computer.

I'm a huge gamer, but when I use my Mac, games are irrelevant. That's how good Macs are. When I use my PC all I want to do is play games 'cause Windoze invented by lvl1 h4x0r n00bz and ain't good for anymuch else. Besides, Bootcamp takes care of everything now.

Macs, compatible with everything but life. I'm sure 50 of those games playable are from 5 years ago as well.

i dont see orgeon trail, nothing screams action game like trying to cross a river and loads of rattle snake related deaths, also helping to make buffalo extinct too!

I've used Macs all day at work for years and I don't understand the hype about how great they are. On the other hand this ytmnd actually shows there are a handful of really good games on them, not that they weren't on the PC 2 years beforehand.

I always laugh when Mac releases some new high performance computer. It's not like 95% of the people that buy it are really going to use it for professional video editing. So what else requires a heavy duty machine? WARCRAFT THREE, ROFFLE!

lol, only 65 games... a good joke, but you're too late. with bootcamp, you can run windows and any pc game natively (no emulation) though.
September 9th, 2006
(0)
Eh with bootcamp emulating windows aren't games still "for windows" anyway
September 9th, 2006
(0)
stfu mac f*gs
September 9th, 2006
(0)
btw bootcamp isnt emulating its running natively. and you can run windows on a mac. therefor ur still playing on a mac. aaand its called a console.
September 9th, 2006

September 9th, 2006

how many more do you need?
September 9th, 2006

There are way more games than that, do you think microsoft has a list of ALL the games that work in Windows on their website? Idiot...
September 9th, 2006
(0)
You idiot. If you're a rabid gamer, of course you should stick to Windows. The point is, if you're even a moderate gamer, other platforms like Mac and Linux have a number of native ports to satisfy most gamers' needs. Furthermore, on Linux there is Cedega that will run games that have not been ported (not always perfectly, but there's a database of what works, and popular games always work), and for Intel-based Macs there will be a similar product---Cider, I think, is what it's called. Of course, if games used OpenGL and SDL, porting would be almost automatic. In closing, f*ck the MS hegemonic monoculture.

For once I agree with Sexymofo. How about playing those thousands of PC only games you seem to love so much instead of randomly bashing stuff you don't have or understand?
September 9th, 2006
(0)
I don't understand why you would ever use anything other than windows. (and yes i've used and hated macs/linux) Anyone wanna explain why macs are good? And if you have to emulate windows to do things, why have a mac? I don't have to emulate mac stuff on my PC.
September 9th, 2006

They could probably just make Sims and cover 99.9% of the mac gaming market.
September 9th, 2006

LOL, elitist Mac fanboys.

"OMG, only 65 action games. If have the need to play anywhere approaching that many, you have other problems. The games that are ported are the good ones anyway. Basically, that's a complaint about not having enough poor quality games. GG." lol they have nothing good. not to mention you pay 2000$ for a hip computer with 512mb ram :/
September 9th, 2006

That list isn't comprehensive, plus action section.

That's a lot of the reason why I don't like Macs. Apple sucks because of DRM, there's more stuff for Windows.
September 9th, 2006

has anyone played halo on the MAC?
September 9th, 2006

Also, don't forget that w/ the switch to Intel, LESS of those games will work (or work well) on a new mac.

Voting 5 because the Power PC was a sh*tty idea anyway, but for the record, bootcamp isnt an emulator, it boots windows like any dell laptop will by making a partition for it. There is a program called parallels that will emulate.
September 9th, 2006
(0)
you can run pretty much any game with a program like bootcamp

I'm a mac user, and I actually find this funny.

lol, its the truth that there are only 65 games for a Mac. Only good ones are the two shooting games they have, but on a mac, they will suck. three for stating the truth, but you used the wrong music.

Wow man, real cool. I just hope you enjoy your sh*tty *ss operating system and viruses man. Maybe i'll just run boot camp and play my windows games. That list has to be pretty darn old too, cause there are well more than 65 games out for the mac

"To all the people screaming "LOL BUT WUT ABUOT BUTECAEMP LOLZ": I'd like to see your Mac run Oblivion at highest settings. I really would." Oh would you? Would a MacPro with two 3 GHz Dual Core Intel Xeons, 16 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 with 512MB of VRAM and Stereo 3D be up to the challenge, f*ggot?
September 10th, 2006

Meh, PC games haven't interested me since starcraft. Except for newgrounds stuff, but I can play those on my mac just fine. I'm gonna play DS now.

this is one of those conversations where you expect no one in it to get laid at the end of the night... or ever.
September 20th, 2006

lol there's a comment on gamespot where a guy says "this is a great game for all Mac gamers." This kinda reminds me of that, i think i should make a ytmnd of that sometime. And to those of you saying that mac only ports the good games: where's the half-life series?
