That was an epic recontextualizing of one small aspect of a movie, which transformed it into something new and monumental. This site is taking someone else's creation and merely passing it along in its entirety to receive praise for yourself. It's no different than reposting a Penny-Arcade comic or a lolcat image. Pretending to be butt-hurt as if this bit of thievery were somehow representative of what was great about YTMND in the good old days is a massive failure of integrity and understanding.
Any concept that is your creation is correct. You present a noteworthy concept you had no part in making, you are praised for your creativity: I call that incorrect. And your flippancy about "art" circle jerks is completely misplaced, since the reason this lifted content appealed to people is precisely because it is a powerful work of art. This image is an expression of that German blogger's unique viewpoint from within his avid enthusiam for Thomas the Tank Engine. It's his Art.
