Hey, WerbalKint, believe what you want. I'm a Libertarian because I think for myself. If most folks had half a brain and saw the world in more colors than red and blue, I'm certain there wouldn't be so many folks like you who can't understand when others don't share your exact views for legitimate reasons.
And it's not conspiracy to think that Bush actively colludes with oil companies. Himself, Cheney and several other members of the administration used to hold positions in the industry, or one related to it. Cheney's still holds stock options at Halliburton, meaning he makes money every time the government gives them a contract. It's not a matter of conspiracy theories or "whiny liberalism." It's called being an informed, intelligent person, which, if you still support Bush, you aren't.

I love it. Pretty much all politcians are corrupt. The left and right maintain power by pitting us against each other. This thread is proof of that. There is no us against them. They are slowly taking away our freedoms while keeping us distracted and divided with irrelevent 'hot button' issues that never really seem to get resolved. Stay aware and stay informed. All of us americans need to stand united now more than ever.
Bush is a sh*tty president, but all these f*gs who base their political opinion on fabricated "facts" established by morons like Michael Moore need to go for a stroll into oncoming traffic. I'm all for having your own opinion, nomatter what side of any issue you happen to be on as long as you do your own research.
like it or not, YTMND has become a staple of internet culture, and especially so for those between 18-26. YTMND sites have become an ideal form of self-expression for people around the world. As voters, you're open to give your take on their work...but really, who are you to claim that their pieces don't "belong"? YTMND has also become a huge representative for freedom of speech and anti-censorship. The words you spout off here go against everything that so many YTMND'ers have grown to proudly stand for.
I don't think any single one of you that have voted on this site based on your opinion of the US government (good or bad) have any place voting on any site on YTMND. I can't imagine how much effort ROY4L spends on making YTMNDs. This is his view. This is the medium he chose to display it in. If you disagree with him, make a YTMND with your own opinion. I didn't read all the downvoter comments, but I think the only one that had any merit was "ytmnd is no place for politics." As for the rest of you, if you disagree with ROY4L's opinion, f*ck off. He's perfectly entitled to it and to expressing it artistically. I certainly disagree with him, but you don't see me putting down his honest effort, do you?
We've been supporting dictators in third world countries for years, do you really think we fought this one for democracy? If I remeber correctly this was about WMDs, which we haven't found a trace of, or any facilites or equipment for designing said WMDs. We're in Iraq because it holds 80% of the world's untapped oil and is a major military stagging point in protecting US assests (the land route from Iran to Saudi Arabi, Kuwait, and Israel). PS. NY times is about as sh*tty as CNN, and CNN is pretty sh*ty
